Red Bull
What else could be said about Red Bull? After having a dodgy start to the season with reliability problems the team did not miss a beat especially after the French GP taking a colossal 16 wins this season. Defiantly reminded me of the dominance of the 2013 season when Seb Vettel was leading the team and one of the teams to look out for in 2023.

Ferrari
O Ferrari what could have been for the prancing horse in 2022. A promising start as Leclerc opened up a 30+ points gap over Verstappen after the AUS GP but due to a combination of reliability issues, driver errors they collapsed at the halfway point of the season and never fully recovered afterwards. Hopefully they will learn from this from next season.

Mercedes
There was talk in the paddock at the end of last season that the German Manufacturer was going to struggle for 2022 and those rumours where indeed true. Thanks to upgrades at the final few races of season (including a win at Brazil) and quite arguably they have been the 2nd fastest team on the grid, they have put themselves to be serious title contenders for 2023.

Alpine
Once of the surprise packages of the season. The French outfit made significant gains this year which similar to Ferrari had been plagued from reliability problems which could have gained them a more comfortable 4th place in the constructor’s standings. Can they continue this momentum in 2023 with a new drivers line up of Gasly and Ocon? We’ll wait and see…..

McLaren
A disappointing campaign for the team with Lando Norris being the standout driver for the team and a very sorry Daniel Riccardo dragging them to a average 5th place. Hopefully things will improve in 2023.

Alfa Romero – Sauber
After having a flying start to the first half of the season things started to go downhill for the Italian outfit during the second half. Nevertheless, a credible 6th in the standings is no mean feat and with the news that Audi will be joining the Sauber racing team in 2026, things are looking bright for them.

Aston Martin
Let’s be honest things have not gone according to plan for Aston Martin during its comeback to the sport. With inconstant results, a breach in the spending cap earlier this year it’s hard how could you rate AM right now. Defiantly it was a coup to get Fernando Alonso onboard but will they give him the car to if not challenge for race wins but podiums at the very least? I doubt it.

Haas
A bit of a step up for Haas after a dreadful 2021. Getting K Mag back to the fold was the correct decision and despite Mick crashing a few times he did score some pretty useful points especially finishing 6th in Austria. Let’s wait and see if this will be the same for them next year.

Alpha Tauri
A slump of a season for the Red Bull junior. It’s beggars belief in how inconstant they have been with both drivers and the team making weird pit stop decisions during races. Improvement will be needed with clear decision making from the head of the team.

Williams
A very disappointing season for Williams. It’s obvious to see Jos Capitio is a business man first and not a racing leader. Albon has been one of the most underrated drivers for the team and despite a moment of brilliance from Nyck De Vries at Monza, nothing can overshadow the fact of Williams finishing bottom if the constructor’s standings.
