Marco Bezzecchi claimed his first MotoGP victory as he won the Argentina Grand Prix to take an early lead in the championship standings. As previous from last week, the Moto GP circus kicked it off with the newly featured sprint race & boy was it another cracker!
From P15 on the grid, BradBinder beat Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) by 0.072s. Luca Marini made it a Mooney VR46 Racing Team double podium with a hard-fought P3.
Morbidelli held onto P4 to fend off Alex Marquez, Bagnaia and Viñales, as Martin pipped Quartararo for P8 as the latter picked up the final Sprint point in P9. The points scorers split by just 3.8s in a truly epic 12-lap dash.
In the main feature race, Bezzecchi, 24, dominated in wet conditions for VR46 Racing, leading the field from the first corner. Defending champion Francesco Bagnaia, who won in Portugal last week, crashed with eight laps remaining.
Frenchman Johann Zarco finished second with Spaniard Alex Marquez, who started in pole position, in third.
