Frank Kelly has his work cut out in rebuilding baby blue in time for the Donegal International Rally this year after suffering that massive crash in the Circuit of Ireland but vows that we will see his iconic MK2 Escort competing once again.

Participating in the opening stages they hit a gap which flipped the car which thankfully landed upright. In a statement on their Instagram account, Frank said “I’ve been here before so I know the road ahead and I know what to do.”

Of course it wouldn’t be the first time Frank has been in this predicament. It also suffered a massive crash in the Galway Summer Rally of 2016 which over time the MK2 Escort was back on the roads sooner rather later.

On a more serious note, it shows these rare moments that shows how much safety measures are being made in rally. It’s good to see both Frank & Lauren got to walk away and we’ll be seeing them race another day hopefully later in the year.
