It was another day of pure drama on Saturday’s North West 200 as Davey Todd, Glenn Irwin, Alistair Seeley & Richard Cooper picked up wins at the triangle event.

Irwin’s eighth victory in succession in the featured race puts him one win away from the all-time record of nine Superbike wins held jointly by Joey Dunlop and Michael Rutter.

The race was stopped at the beginning of the fourth lap when newcomer Mike Browne crashed at Juniper. The Cork man was reported to have sustained minor injuries.

However, there was a lengthy wait until the outcome of the race was confirmed, with Irwin getting the verdict for the BeerMonster Ducati team by one second after three laps from Alastair Seeley (Milwaukee BMW).

Dean Harrison was third on the DAO Racing Kawasaki ahead of Michael Dunlop (Hawk Racing Honda), with the leading quartet covered by 1.6s.

Earlier in the day, Richard Cooper got sweet revenge from last year picking up both wins in a commanding Supertwin Race 1 & 2.

It was win no2 for Davey Todd of this years NW200 winning the Supersport Race. Before winning the feature race, Glenn Irwin picked up race victory in the first Superbike race.

And finally, Alastair Seeley chalked up 29 victories at the North West 200 with a calculated ride to repeat his Superstock double in the class from 2022.
