Earlier this week Lia Block took on the infamous Pikes Peak course in memory of her late father Ken who lost his life in a snowmobile accident in January this year.

The 16 year old didn’t come to Pikes Peak to watch. She drove her father’s last race car, a 1,400-horsepower mid-engine Porsche 911 monster known as the Hoonipigasus, to the top of the mountain in a special exhibition run to close out the 2023 race.

Though untimed, Block wasn’t on a parade lap. She drove the car hard up the mountain, capping off a weekend of triumphs.

Lia, most recently, has made something of a name for herself in the American Rally Association National series, the same rally series that Ken Block found much of his early success in.

Lia Block, meanwhile, is set to debut in European rallying, and the next tier of the Nitrocircus rallycross series.

As this was just a demo run, don’t rule out the chance that Lia Block will return next year to tame Pikes Peak once again but against the clock. Now that would be something to watch!
