Lying fifth in the standings Robinson needed a stella performance with driver Desi Henry on the wheel it claim the championship and that’s exactly what happened.

Graham Henderson who had been leading throughout the majority of this season was only able to finish 12th in the Down Rally while other championship rivals – Darren Curren (14th), Damien Garvey (24th) & Dean O’Sullivan (19th) respectively.

It has worked well for the duo throughout this whole season especially when they have been collecting podium positions in other events such as the Tour of the Sperrins, Maiden City stages etc.

This would be one their best performances within this championship season given the circumstances of course.

The pair have also been competing in the Irish Tarmac Championship and they’ll be looking to finish the season on a high in that category of top class Irish rally stars.
