Callum Devine and Noel O Sullivan won a pulsating battle with Desi Henry & Josh Moffett to take victory in the ALMC Stages Rally and decrease the gap at the top from Moffett in the Irish National Rally Championship.

In the first loop of 2 stages, Callum Devine and Noel O Sullivan led Desi Henry and Shane Byrne lead by 3.7 seconds. 3rd was Josh Moffett and Keith Moriarty a further 5.6 seconds. 4th was Gareth McHale and Brian Murphy in their VW with 5th belonging to Daniel Cronin and D Burke.

Stage 2 had to be abandoned due to a oil spill so it was straight to stage 3. As the the competitors went into the final third of the event everything was still all to play for.

Devine and O Sullivan led Desi Henry and Shane Byrne lead by just 0.6 seconds. 3rd – Moffett and Moriarty a further 7.8 seconds behind the duo with 4th McHale & Murphy and Daniel Cronin and D Burke maintaining 5th.

Despite Moffett gaining ground in the final two stages it simply wasn’t enough to overhaul them. Callum Devine and Noel O Sullivan won the event over Desi Henry and Shane Byrne by just 2 seconds. 3rd was Josh Moffett and Keith Moriarty a further 3.1seconds off the pace.

4th place for Gareth McHale and Brian Murphy with Daniel Cronin and D Burke completing the top 5.

There was further confusion at the end with stage 5’s times randomly disappeared and we had to wait for the final classification from the stewards but this didn’t affect the overall result of the event.

Kevin Gallagher and Ryan Moore won the modified section with Gary Kieran and John McCabe 2nd & 3rd went to Richard Moffett and Ger Conway.
