Ryan Caldwell & Arthur Kierans clinched this years Irish Forest Rally Title after an eventful day in the Bushwhacker Rally.
Despite failing to complete the Omagh Motor Club meeting, they clinched the title due to Mark Donnelly electing not to score points by changing from Class 10 to Class 11, just starting the Bushwhacker Rally was enough for them to secure the title and confirm Caldwell as one of the series’ youngest winners.
Brothers Patrick and Stephen O’Brien made it a hat-trick of Bushwhacker Rally victories on Saturday.
Cathan McCourt/Liam Moynihan (Ford Fiesta Rally2) finished second with Jason Mitchell/Paddy McCrudden (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5) taking the final podium position.
It has been an incredible season for Caldwell & Kierans who claimed wins in Cork & Moonraker rallies respectively in their Skoda Fabia R5.
