Michael Dunlop completed his British Superbike Meeting at Oulton Park in what would be a difficult two days for the Ulster man.
Riding for Hawkracing, He started P25 in the opening sprint race. He came home P19, after being involved in some good battles out on track.
In Race 2 Michael started 23rd. A small error saw Michael go down on race 2. He was quickly up on his feet with the bike only suffering relatively minor damage.
For Race Three, Michael started in P22. It wasn’t to be for Michael once again as he retired with a minor technical issue with ten laps to go.
However it was a good weekend for local rider Glenn Irwin who kicked off the weekend with a victory in Saturday’s BikeSocial Sprint Race, dedicating the win to Team Owner Paul Bird who sadly passed away earlier this month, as the BeerMonster Ducati teammates fight to secure PBM’s ninth title at Brands Hatch in October.
He also won Race 2 to lead the standings at the end of the day by 0.5 points in front of his teammate Tommy Bridewell going into the penultimate round at Donington Park.
