Kris Meeke wrapped up his Portuguese Rally Championship campaign in style, taking the final round – Rallye Vidreiro – Centro de Portugal.

In a dominated display the pair won 5 stages in the process and won by nearly 55 seconds from their nearest challengers Alejandro Cachón & Borja Rozada.

It has been a successful season for the Northern Irishman. Picking up four wins this season after replacing the late Craig Breen in April.

No confirmation as of yet if he’ll be returning to Hyundai and do a full rally programme in next season’s competition.

This will be the perfect start to his busy schedule over these coming weeks with Meeke confirming that he will be contesting the Roger Albert Clark Rally in the UK this November in a MK2 escort.

And on top of that, he’ll be in the upcoming Carlisle Stages alongside Noel O’Sullivan.
