The Hollywood star swapped the Oscars for racing cars as he took part in the yearly end of season Six-Hour Endurance Race at Ireland’s most famous motorsports venue, Mondello Park.
Fassbender was joined by Irish driving legends David Kennedy and Tommy Byrne in the contest which finished as the sun set. He raced in an unmodified red Fiesta Zetec, fitted with a roll cage and capable of speeds of 120kph.
Out of the 20 teams which competed at the event, his team finished 10th.
A few weeks backs he has hinted about maybe returning back to Le Mans and compete in the 2024 race but as of yet nothing has been confirmed.
The race was won by Rabbitt Brothers Racing which consisted of Barry Rabbitt, Shane Rabbitt & Keith Rabbitt.
