Once again, the national series will consist of five sealed surface events, with the opening two being circuit-based affairs at Kirkistown and Bishopscourt in County Down, and the remaining three fixtures played out on closed public roads.
A calendar rotation policy put in place for the Northern Ireland Rally Championship will ensure it remains interesting for both competitors and followers of the competition, according to the man who co-ordinates it.
The one notable change is the dropping of the award-winning Down Rally, which is co-promoted by Rathfriland Motor Club and Ballynahinch and District Motor Club, and is the home round of the current and four-time Northern Ireland Rally champion Jonathan Greer.

Greer successfully defended his Northern Ireland Rally Championship crown on the final round with a collected fourth-place finish back in July.
