Regarded as one of the biggest annual sporting events in the county, this years event is better than ever with a truly magnificent entry list of R5, WRC specification cars, group N entries along with a host of powerful two wheel drive cars.

Many months of preparation have gone into this event, which is estimated to be worth in the region of 5 million euro to the local economy with large crowds expected throughout Monaghan town and the mid-Monaghan region over the course of the weekend.

This is the 4th year that the event is backed by Four Seasons  and their enthusiastic staff. The event will comprise of three stages repeated three times with service in Monaghan town after each loop.

The podium celebration will take place at 5.40pm at the 4 Seasons Hotel where the 2024 Monaghan Stages Rally winners will be crowned.

Josh Moffett leads the line in his Citroen C3 Rally2 hoping for a fourth victory on his home stages ignites his National Rally Championship campaign after a difficult Mayo campaign.

Declan and Michael Boyle also return to National Championship action after falling foul to the same slippery Mayo junction on the eight-round series opener.

Their troubles allowed Sam Moffett to snatch his first rally win since 2021. Moffett is focusing his attention on the National Rally Championship this year and took four stage wins on his way to a 43.5-second round one victory.

Daniel Cronin, Eddie Doherty, and Aidan Wray all impressed in Mayo and will be hoping to strengthen their National campaigns with a top result this weekend.

Donegal’s Kevin Gallagher is seeded just ahead of an impatient array of local drivers in his Darrian T90. Richard Moffett tops the local modified charge in his Toyota Starlet and is seeded five places above his brother David who drives a sister Starlet.
