David Bogie got his Scottish Rally Championship campaign off to the best possible start by winning the Speyside Stages for a record-extending 11th time.
It was Hugh Brunton who set a new Cooper Park record to lead The McDonald and Munro Speyside Stages opener.
The lead changed as 12 months on from his victory here last year, Finlay Retson lead the event. But it could not be closer, with just 17s splitting the top 5 as they reached the halfway mark.
On stage 6, Retson still lead, but Bogie was hunting him down. Just 3 seconds split the two Polos at the head of the field, but Euan Thorburn has dropped back a touch in third, level with a flying Scott Beattie.
Freddie Milne slid off the road, John Wink parked up with a broken radiator and Hugh Brunton who won the opening stage went off. Crews where all OK.
Bogie then overhauled Retson to take the lead and he never looked back winning the event by over 19 seconds over Reston and Beaton. Euan Thorburn & Keir Beaton claimed third as all three VW Polo’s took the podium positions.
