Josh Moffett once again got the better on brother Sam to win the Birr Stages Rally and Round 3 of the National Rally Championship.

The monaghan boys once again put another stellar display of sheer competitiveness but in the end Josh not only took the win but it was double delight as he also win the Citroen C3 Trophy class.

After 6 stages Josh Moffett/Keith Moriarty lead Sam Moffett/James O’Reilly by 18 seconds seconds with David Kelly/Arthur Kierans a further 40 seconds behind in 3rd place as they where battling with David Cronin and Donnchadh Burke for that final podium place.

Josh managed to control the pace by winning stage 7 despite Sam winning the final two it wasn’t enough for him to close the gap and round off another 1-2 finish for the Moffett brothers.

David Kelly and Arthur Kierans in there VW Polo GTI claimed a well deserved 3rd after an close battle with David Cronin and Donnchadh Burke as they got the better on them in the final quarter of the event.

In the national class Kevin Gallagher and Ryan Moore claimed the class win and 10th overall in there Darrian T90 GTR.
