After very successful 2 seasons of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime, here’s a quick introduction to the show and what’s to be expected from season 3.
His show follows the intense, arduous and frequently hilarious day-to-day life of Britain’s most unlikely farmer, as he faces up to unhelpful weather, disobedient animals, unresponsive crops and unexpected challenges.
Helped only by a rag-tag band of agricultural associates, Jeremy quickly discovers that a modern farmer must be conservationist, scientist, shepherd, shopkeeper, midwife, engineer, accountant and tractor driver, often at the same time. This is Jeremy Clarkson as you’ve never seen him before.
The cast of Clarkson’s Farm features Jeremy Clarkson and Lisa Hogan, his girlfriend who runs the farm shop, as well as a rag-tag band of agricultural associates. This includes Kaleb Cooper, a young farmer from the local area, “Cheerful” Charlie Ireland, the farm’s manager, and Gerald Cooper, a specialist in construction.
In Season 1 of Clarkson’s Farm, Jeremy Clarkson trades horsepower for farm life as he embraces farming in the Cotswolds as Jeremy Clarkson navigates the ups and downs of agricultural life with him struggling to settle a farmers life during covid.
Season 2 of Clarkson’s Farm continues the agricultural journey with the introduction of new animals and crops to Diddly Squat Farm. Jeremy Clarkson faces challenges while dealing with the local council as he tries to open a restaurant on the farm called Diddley Squat.
With Season 3 Clarkson and his partner Lisa Hogan try their hand at rearing new livestock. This, reluctantly, brings me back to the pigs. Much of Clarkson’s Farm operates in a world of stiff upper lips, but there are a couple of events which cause those lips to wobble.
Just as Clarkson is congratulating himself on getting over his sentimental attachment to his animals, catastrophe strikes. Clarkson’s Farm is split into two parts with part 1 (episode 1-4) on 3 May and part 2 (episodes 5-8) on 10 May.
