Home » Jos Verstappen To Compete In 2025 ERC Season

Jos Verstappen will take on a full European Rally Championship season in 2025 alongside his Belgian championship commitments.

Verstappen, the father of four-time Formula 1 world champion Max, began rallying in 2022 and has quickly found success, with 10 overall victories in just 38 starts.

The 52-year-old has mainly focused on the Belgian Rally Championship, but this year will add an ERC program to his schedule.

Jos is far from the only former F1 racer to turn his attention to rallying. Kimi Räikkönen and Robert Kubica are the most famous examples who competed at the top of the World Rally Championship (to varying degrees of success), but today we are still seeing former circuit racing drivers enjoy a career renaissance such as Heikki Kovalainen with his pair of Japanese titles.

Verstappen has never competed on any of the events in the ERC calendar. The first one is Spain’s Rally Sierra Morena – Córdoba on April 4-6.
