Four-time British Touring Car Championship title-winner Colin Turkington will join a spectacular GT Cup grid for the 2025 season opener at Donington Park this weekend (28/29 March) as part of 24-7 Motorsport’s entry.

The 43-year-old from Portadown, Northern Ireland, will make his series debut in what is currently a one-off outing with the squad, sharing the 24-7 Motorsport Ginetta G56 with GT Cup stalwart Patrick Collins for the maiden 100-minute feature race on Sunday.
Turkington recently announced that he would not be participating in BTCC for the upcoming season, putting the pause button on a decorated career in the series that boasts four Drivers’ Championships and 72 race victories to his tally since his debut back in 2002.
Collins meanwhile has sampled GT Cup machinery for several seasons with group silverware to boot, racing with Ginetta, Porsche and stepping up to a GT3 Lamborghini with JMH Automotive. He will contest all three Donington races this weekend, beginning with Saturday’s brace of 25-minute Sprint outings.

Both Turkington and Collins will be competing for honours in group GTH, alongside experienced GT teams such as SVG Motorsport and the returning Aston Martin charge of Feathers Motorsport.
