The Estonian grabbed the lead on the short, sharp test this morning Ash Park with McRae following suit. Sadly it wasn’t to last for the Scot as he had to retire the car on stage 2 with engine troubles.

William Creighton spring boarded himself up the order to take the leads after SS2. The pendulum swung back to Jürgenson who was the only man to dip under 10 minutes on the 17.25km Buck Fell 1 test.

A stunning run through SS4 sees the Estonian pull 13.3 seconds on Will Creighton with just one stage to go. One stage between him and his first BRC win.

As the final stage draw to a close, along with co-driver Siim Oja the Baltic pairing seal the top spot for M-Sport and seal maximum points at the Carlisle Stages.

Pushing the winners right to the end – William Creighton and Liam Regan did their championship hopes the world of good in Kielder by taking second in round two after their round one win. The pair still hold the championship lead, leaving Cumbria.

In a distant third, Garry Pearson and Hannah McKillop take their first BRC podium of the year and give M-Sport a one, three on the podium.

A scintillating Stellantis Cup victory for Joe Kelly and James McBrearty on the gravel of Kielder in the junior class. The Irish pair made up for their West Cork DNF to leap back into the fight for the Cup title, and put themselves into the mix for the JBRC fight as well.

In BRC4 there was drama on the last stage. David Higgins was leading going into the final stage, but an off into a ditch on the last test handed the victory to Megan O’Kane and Nikki Addison.

That’s two from two in the class for the all-female pairing after their opening round victory on the East Riding Stages.

Next up on the BRC calendar is the Jim Clark Rally on May 23rd.
