The very popular Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally is a welcome addition to the BTRDA Rally Series.

The event will once again be based in the picturesque Scottish Borders town of Jedburgh and provide some of the best stage rallying in the UK with classic forest tests in the renowned and little-used Tweed Valley and Wauchope Forest complexes.
The first all special stage Border Counties Uniflo Rally, backed by ESSO Petroleum, took place on 26th May 1974.
It was the second rally to take place in Scotland after the Aberdeen Stages in April, since the enforced closedown of motorsport following the 1973 RAC Rally, due to fuel supply issues. The event was run on the farm tracks and airfields of the eastern Borders.
Five stages await the drivers with over 87 entries for the event, it will be another dusty and challenging day for the top guns looking to stand on the top step this weekend.
Matthew Hirst claimed the opening round of the BTRDA series at the Malcolm Wilson Rally. the pair claimed the win by over 13 seconds from second place challengers and reigning champions Elliot Payne and Patrick Walsh.

Coming in third was Iceland star Daníel Sigurðarson in the Skoda Fabia. No surprise this trio will be there but there are one or two dark horses which could spring an upset.
Northern Irishman Kyle White enters in the Hyundai I20 with Scott MacBeth who took second at the Munro Stages a couple of weeks ago to name a few.
It all kicks off this Saturday morning at 8.30 with the crews finishing after 3pm.
