The Asset Alliance Group Scottish Rally Championship switches from the gravel to the tarmac for round 3 of the 2025 season, the Dunoon Presents… Argyll Rally. A relatively small contingent of SRC registered competitors making the trip West but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in quality.

Rory Young took his 1st SRC maximum score on these roads behind the wheel of a Citroen C3 R5. The switch to the Polo hasn’t been the most successful for the Dumfriesshire driver but he’ll be looking to buck that trend with the experienced Jamie Edwards in the hotseat.
Hugh Brunton has made a habit of being fastest through the Dunoon town centre stages that traditionally open the Argyll Rally. Unfortunately, bad luck has always followed. He’ll be hoping his 1st attempt in a Polo will finally see his undoubted pace rewarded.
Mark McCulloch & Michael Hendry have always gone well on this event in their Proton Satria Evo. After some more development work, Mark was very happy with the car at a recent tarmac test and excited to see how it stacks up against the Rally 2 and R5 cars.
Ian Forgan & Chris Lees come into this round fresh from a win at Ian’s home patch of Crail Airfield earlier this month in their Rally 2 Fiesta. Argyll has always suited them, producing standout performances in both their Subaru Impreza and rapid Ford Ka in the past.

Other Pro 4 cars in the mix include Bob Adamson, making his 1st tarmac start in his Polo and reuniting with Harry Stubbs.
The G&M Mechanical Service 2wd standings are topped by Ross Jarrett & Steven Brown. The blue MK2 lead the 2wds at round 1 before brake issues sidelined its attack. Ross another looking to bounce back here.
John Rintoul & Ross Hynd top the SRC Historic entries in their MK2 Escort. John known for being good on tar but is relatively inexperienced in the car.
