Due to Serious Traffic Issue on the public highway between Special Stage 14 Riccarton and Special Stage 15 Hyndlee – the road has become gridlocked and completely impassable in either direction.

Therefore on the grounds of safety for all marshals, spectators, competitors and management personnel – the second pass of stages this evening all stages where cancelled as a result of it. This included Stages 17 all the way to 20.

In tricky wintery stages Pryce didn’t get off to the best of starts, as his lead going into the final stage of the day was just 5 seconds over a charging Paul Barrett and Gordon Noble who at one point held the overall rally lead.

Pryce made those amends blitzing through to take stage 16 and take a healthy 58 second lead for Day 4.
