David Bogie (Dumfries) came into this round needing a top 5 points finish to wrap up a record setting 7th Scottish title. With Kirsty Riddick (Castle Douglas) in the hotseat once again, David was having to balance his natural speed with a no risk strategy.

That was clearly taking a lot of concentration, Kirsty saying that David was talking to himself mid-stage much more than normal. 2nd fastest on the opening 3 stages they stepped their pace up in the afternoon to record 3 fastest times in a row.

That gave them the win by 27 seconds and David his 7th SRC title. The destination of the navigators however will be decided on the final round.

Fastest in SS1, Mark McCulloch (Dumfries) & Michael Hendry (Aberlour) slowed in SS2 when the onboard tracker system threw up a red flag warning. That turned out to be a false alarm and they were able to get their time adjusted in Rally HQ.

The rest of the day was incredibly consistent, never outside the top 3 SRC times and grabbing 2nd despite flirting with the bushes in front of one of the SRC cameramen.

It was incredibly close for 3rd, event sponsor Jock Armstrong & Owen Paterson actually grabbing the place on stage times, but a penalty saw them lose out on the final podium spot by just 3 seconds.

Taking their 1st Challengers win of the season, Duncan Campbell (Ayr) was another man on his local event. Reunited with regular co-driver Michael Cruickshank the Impreza man was getting quicker and quicker with every passing stage and really enjoying these roads.

It was tight for the category win, Duncan & Michael swapping times all day with the rapid MK2 of Paddy Munro (Kyle) & Andrew Stevenson (Grantown). The Subaru coming out on top by just 2 seconds.

Natalie Robinson (Ripon) managed a repeat of her performance from the Scottish Rally, taking the win in both the Moates Offshore Juniors and the Lady drivers.

The Groundwater Lift Trucks Subaru Cup was a straight fight between Jack Ryan (Castletown) & Robin Nicolson (Largs) and Elgin crew Mike Grant & Graham Kelman.

Escort legend Steve Bannister (Malton) & co-driver Callum Atkinson (Haddington) continued to dominate the Haddo Energy Super Seniors on the gravel.
