BMW Team Principal Dick Bennetts hasn’t ruled out a possible return of four time BTCC Colin Turkington in the 2026 Season.

With Jake Hill making the shock announcement that he was to leave the BTCC at the 2025 campaign, it has left a big hole in the German manufacturing outfit to fill following a lacklustre campaign.
In an interview with ITV’s Louise Goodman at the last round in Brands Hatch, Bennetts give a small hint that he will try to get Turkington make a return to the grid for some valuable experience to the West Surrey team.
Turkington won the BTCC title in 2009, 2014, 2018 and 2019 to become one of the most successful drivers in the championship’s storied history.
The 43-year-old has won 72 races, claimed 192 podiums and, on top of his four overall titles, claimed five Independent Drivers’ championships.

He did make a an unexpected return to the West Surrey Racing BMW team for a Brands Hatch test in March this year which was followed by a practice session at Croft in August.
