Michael Boyle completed his 2025 National Ireland Rally Championship campaign in style with victory at the Fastnet Rally.

The Fastnet Rally arrived back to Bantry after a 2-year break. Organised by the Skibbereen and District Car Club, it brought 160 cars and participants to Bantry and surrounding areas.
Partnered with Dermot McCafferty, the Skoda duo controlled the event from the start, to win the event by over 18 seconds over their nearest challengers Daniel Cronin and Padraig O’Donavan in the Citroen with Michael’s brother Matthew in the near exact replica of Skoda completing the podium places in third with Declan Boyle calling the notes.
Barry Morris rompted home in the modified section in the Darrian with Ronan Dorrian taking the juniors class win in his Honda Civic. Donagh Kelly and Rory Kennedy’s BMW M3 won the historic section of the rally.
There were emotional scenes at the finish ramp of the Westlodge Hotel Fastnet Rally in Bantry on Sunday evening after Michelle Quinn was presented with the Katie Quinn Tarmac Queen Memorial Trophy.

Michelle won the Ladies Championship in the Top Part West Coast Rally Series by finishing the West Cork–based event, the final round of the popular regional championship. The cup is named in memory of her late sister Katie Quinn, who passed away in June 2024, and is presented to the highest-placed female crew in the series.
