Rally Ireland could return to the World Rally Championship as early as 2025 said Motorsport Ireland president Aiden Harper, who added that the World Rally Teams that took part in Rally Ireland in 2007 and 2009 have always spoken of a desire to return to the Irish Tarmac.

As reported by RallyFish, Mortorsport Ireland was looking at August or September 2025 as a potential date for Rally Ireland making a comeback.

As reported a few months back, Harper revealed that following an expression of interest from the WRC Promoter, the wheels have now been put in motion.

Mr. Harper was anxious to comment on claims in September of WRC drivers coming to Ireland to participate in the next Raven’s Rock Rally. It appears that Thierry Neuville spoke about with popular media outlet DirtFish.

The Raven’s Rock Rally is not scheduled to return to the MI calendar until 2025.
