Toprak Razgatlioglu won race one at Donington Park to extend his lead at the top of the World Superbike Championship standings.

Great Britain’s Alex Lowes was a strong second at his home race as he finished 11.3 seconds behind Razgatlioglu on his Kawasaki.

The victory for the Turkish rider – his fifth in a row – extended his championship lead to 33 points over reigning champion Alvaro Bautista, who was third, and his Duacti team-mate Nicolo Bugela, who finished in fourth place.

Northern Ireland’s six-time champion Jonathan Rea was fifth to equal his best result of the season since moving to Yamaha.

Home rider Scott Redding was set for his best performance of the season before a mechanical issue on his BMW put him out of the race with four laps to go when he was running in fifth position.

The #54 capped off the perfect weekend at Donington Park with a clean sweep ahead of Nicolo Bulega and Alex Lowes

The final race of the weekend for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship was packed with drama from start to finish, with Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) storming to complete a perfect weekend at the Prosecco DOC UK Round – winning all three races.

Redding held onto fourth position in the closing stages of Race 2, keeping a 1.201s margin to Bautista, who rounded out the top five positions. The #1 ended the weekend with a solid performance after his crash on the sighting lap, keeping calm and finishing ahead of Petrucci at the line.
