As the third round of the 2024 Sligo Pallets Forest Rally Championship concludes, there was shock full of drama in the Cork Forest Rally.
Jason Mitchell & Paddy McCrudden took the event victory, bring their VW Polo GTi R5 home with just over ten seconds to spare over Championship top scorers Niall McGonigle & Caolan McKenna.
In the 2WD race, it was David Crossan & Ben Teggart who finally managed to break the dominance of Shane McGirr & Denver Rafferty, as the Escort pair beat the flying Lada by 4.6 seconds.
In the J1000 race, it was a back-to-back victory for Oisin McShane & Fabian McShane, as they claimed victory with a 20-second to spare over Tommy Cronin & Derek Butler.
Additionally Jack Harris has been crowned MI Junior Rally first-class champion following his win at the Cork Forest Rally on Sunday.
Going into his final day, the Donegal youngster, in the newly formed Class 2A, pushed ahead of his two great friends and rivals Ciara Duggan and Jack Kennedy to seal the win in Cork.
