With one to go, Jordan Hone took 3.3 seconds out of Vivian Hamill through Springwell to put the Polo pilot under threat with one stage left for second place.

Mitchell maintained his cool to take the win nearly 30 seconds clear from Jordan Horne with Hamill making a mistake on the final stage to finish third.

McGirr and Denver Rafferty were untouchable in two-wheel-drive taking a 32.8-second win from Adrian Hetherington and Ronan O’Neill.

The result ensured McGirr clinches the 2WD NI Forest Challenge title with Rafferty sealing the overall co-drivers title.
