After the closed public roads of Argyll, the Asset Alliance Group Scottish Rally Championship switches back to the gravel for round 4 of the 2025 season, the RSAC Scottish Rally, based once again in Dalbeattie.

The organisers sticking with the formula of running the 2wd cars at the front in reverse seeding order.

The return to Dalbeattie sees a return of the 2024 Scottish winners. David Bogie & Kirsty Riddick are back to try and make it 2 wins in a row on their home patch, jumping onboard the Skoda Fabia RS that has taken 2 SRC wins so far this year.

The Skoda will face stiff opposition. BRC regulars Garry Pearson & Hannah McKillop line up as car 2 in their Rally 2 Fiesta, getting some pre-Grampian gravel mileage. Both Garry & Hannah have form in these forests.

Speaking of form in these forests, the Scottish is firmly situated in Jock Armstrong territory. The return to gravel brings the return of the Skodaru, and rumours abound that this might be the last appearance of the car in its current form. Both Jock & co-driver Owen Paterson will want to do well in their home stages after an early retirement from the 2024 event.

The gravel also sees the return of John Wink & Neil Shanks. The 2024 Snowman winner looking to bounce back after a steady run at round 1. The i20 R5 is seeded just in front of their good friends, and championship leaders, Mark McCulloch & Michael Hendry. The Proton crew is coming in from a cracking run to 3rd at Argyll last time out.

There is a strong 4 wheel drive presence in the Challengers division. Topping the seeding, Duncan Campbell & Michael Cruickshank make their 2nd start in their newly acquired Subaru Impreza. The Speyside saw them tie for the Challengers win, only losing out on a 1st stage countback.

A collection of rapid Escorts head up the G&M Mechanical Services 2wds seeding. Paddy Munro & Andrew Stevenson return to the SRC with the switch back to gravel. The glorious sounding Escort looking to kick start its season after an early retirement on the Speyside.

They will have to contend with Ross Jarrett & Iain Thorburn. Ross also retired on the Speyside, in sight of the finish while leading the 2wds. He bounced back with a dominant win at Argyll, along with an excellent 6th in the SRC.
