Max Verstappen could not have had more of a better weekend in his racing career.
Taking qualifying and race double on Sunday in addition to the fastest lap of the race, capped off another perfect weekend for the dutchman by taking the British Grand Prix.
This is Red Bull’s first British GP Win since 2012 with McLaren’s Lando Norris finishing second (his best result since Monza 2021) & Lewis Hamilton rounding up the podium positions.
However Verstappen didn’t get off to the best of starts when he was leapfrogged by Norris on the opening lap and was leading his home race.
Norris’s teammate Oscar Piastri almost did the same on Verstappen but had to settle for third.
As the laps progressed the DRS opened up for the speedy Red Bull and soon the defending champion retook the lead and cruised to another easy win.
With another race two weeks time in Hungary, Verstappen has now won six races in a row and is looking for more.
But one thing that is not on his mind is the thinking that the Dutchman is now closing in on his third world championship in a row.
Also Red Bull matches McLaren’s 1988 record of 11 wins in a row. Piastri in the end had to settle for forth after he lost out third to Hamilton due to a late safety car which resulted in a flurry of pit stops.
Russell, Perez, Alonso, Albon, Leclerc & Sainz completed the top ten.
