The funeral service of Damien Fleming took place at Killarney.
Beloved son of Dermot and Catherine and loving brother of Mark and Brendan, the service was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kilcummin.
The Co-driver lost his life while competing in the Clare Rally on Sunday. The two-car collision took place during the fourth stage at the Clare Rally.
The service was followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kilcummin.
Damien was one of Kerry’s leading co-drivers. He has competed in over 150 events since he started in 2006. Highlights include winning the Banna Beach Resort Kerry Winter Rally alongside Cavan’s Stephen McCann in a Mitsubishi Lancer E9 in 2015.
He was also the inaugural Kingdom of Kerry Rally champion in 2018. Motorsport Ireland, the sport’s governing body, has launched an investigation into the accident.
