Martin Secures Thailand GP Win

Jorge Martin took a well deserved double over the MotoGP weekend to keep his championship hopes alive in the Thailand GP.

Martin converted pole to a fifth consecutive sprint victory in 2023 to bring his tally for the season up to seven, the Pramac Ducati rider 0.933 seconds clear of KTM’s Brad Binder at the chequered flag.

Leading every lap, Martin came under no challenge as he romped away from the field, while Bagnaia struggled to seventh.

He then clinched a dramatic fifth victory of the season in the Thailand Grand Prix on Sunday.

KTM’s Brad Binder was demoted a place for exceeding track limits in the final lap, moving Francesco Bagnaia into second place and the South African third.

It was the fourth-closest finish in premier class history, with just 0.253 seconds separating the three riders. Martin closed the gap to Bagnaia in the overall standings to 13 points.
