A fast start to the day on stage one with Desi Henry and Shane Byrne grabbing the stage win over Lisbunny’s bumps and jumps.

Reigning Irish Tarmac Champion Callum Devine wasn’t far behind as he was looking to get more time in his VW Polo GTI R5 with NI Rally frontrunner Jonny Greer completing the top three.

Three different winners on Eakin Bros BJT Rally’s first three stages in the morning loop with Jonny Greer jumping from fourth to second on the third test as the front runners where finding there way throughout the damp parts of the surface.

However at the halfway stage Henry led the pack with Greer 2nd and Devine 3rd.

In the 2WD Class Donegal’s Damien Tourish recorded a hat-trick of stage wins this morning to take a 39.3-second two-wheel-drive lead at Eakin Bros BJT Rally’s halfway point.

Callum Devine is right back in the mix on his home rally after suspension tweaks in service. He went fastest by 6.8s on stage four. Unfortunately, NI Rally contender Stuart Biggerstaff’s Ford Fiesta fell off the road on Lisbunny.

Henry preserved his cool to win the event fter a big push on the final stages to stay ahead of Callum Devine’s Polo R5. Jonny Greer narrowly missed out on second overall but takes top championship points to extend his series lead.
