Seb Perez put in another impressive drive to take a double category win in his 911 at the Woodpecker Stages.
Lepley set the benchmark in the opener but behind a stellar battle unfolds. Despite an overshoot Perez went 2s quicker than Higgins with Elliott and Lancaster just a second behind each other.
After stage 4 Lepleys lead diminished into service but remained out front. Provisionally Perez had a one second lead over the tied for time Elliott & Higgins with Friend fourth and Lancaster fifth.
With three stages remaining we had a new leader. Lepley stopped allowing Perez to move into the lead with 10s in hand over Higgins with Elliott third, just 8s adrift. It was going to be close.
Perez in the end did enough to take the win. 8 seconds was the winning gap between himself and Higgins with Mick Elliot claiming third in his Fiat 131.
Rudi Lancaster & Guy Weaver took the category 3 win in the MK2 Escort. Next up in the BHRC Calendar is the two day event Trackrod Rally Yorkshire in two weeks time.
