Elliot Payne picked up a hard earned victory in the Woodpecker Stages last Saturday.
Sponsored by the Phil Price Memorial, Elliot Payne and Patrick Walsh enjoyed a 21 second win over the pairing of Ross Thompson and Stephen Link in their Evo 9. Daníel Sigurðarson would come home in an impressive third in the Polo GTI R5.
Things wouldn’t go well for championship contender and defending Welsh Rally Champion Matthew Hirst who had to stop the car on stage 2 for mechanical repairs which as an result he lost over 9 minutes. He did manage to finish 7th in his new Skoda Fabia R5.
