Seven top-quality forest rallies spread evenly across the season will make up next year’s Pirelli Motorsport UK Welsh Rally Championship.
After a one-off trip to Kielder forest in 2025, the Welsh championship returns to home ground for the 2026 schedule, which starts on Saturday March 28 with Rally North Wales.
Like Rally North Wales, the Severn Valley Stages on April 11 makes a welcome return to the calendar to form round two after both events were lost in 2025 following winter storm damage in the Welsh forests.
The Plains Rally switches to a new date of June 13, while the popular Nicky Grist Stages runs on its traditional July 11 slot. Then comes a summer break to fit in with school holidays through August before the action resumes on the Woodpecker Rally on Saturday September 12.
The Cambrian Rally takes the action to North Wales on Saturday October 24 for the penultimate event before the season concludes on the Wyedean Stages Rally in November.
Building on the successful 2025 season, which resulted in a fifth title for Matthew Hirst and Declan Dear, the championship will again run a wide range of classes to suit all types of car and is the perfect forest championship for competitors seeking to tackle some of the best gravel stages in the UK.
