The Coppermines Grizedale Stages Rally, returning after two consecutive weather-related cancellations in 2023 (snow) and 2024 (severe winds), finally enjoyed favourable conditions and provided a fitting end to the season.

David Bogie and Kirsty Riddick capped off their championship-winning year with a dominant overall victory. For the finale, Bogie swapped his usual Škoda Fabia for a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, mastering the wet, technical stages to take a commanding win.

Finishing 22 seconds behind, Ollie Mellors and Ian Windress delivered a strong performance in their Proton Iriz R5, consistently pushing the pace but unable to match Bogie’s speed.

Third place went to Angus Lawrie and Jane Nicol, who impressed in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, securing a podium despite competing in older machinery against a high-quality field.

Overall, the 2025 running restored the event’s reputation with a smooth, uninterrupted rally and a highly competitive finale to the SRC season.
