The funeral of May Dunlop took place earlier today at Garryduff Presbyterian Church, Co.Antrim. In a packed congregation, the mother of Northern Ireland motorbike racing legends Joey and Robert Dunlop died on Monday afternoon at the age of 91.
In treacherous conditions, hundreds of supporters lined the road up towards the church to pay their respects.
Throughout her life she suffered heartache and pain as her sons Joey & Robert along with her grandson William lost their lives while competing at road racing.
The deaths of all three of the race stars were regarded as a monumental loss to the sporting community.
Each of the three men were buried in the same church in Ballymoney. with thousands in attendance at each funeral service.
