Spaniard Jorge Martin led from the start to take victory in the second Moto GP race of the season in Portugal.
Martin, finished ahead of Italy’s Enea Bastianini, while his 19-year-old compatriot Pedro Acosta claimed his first podium in only his second start.
Behind them, world champion Francesco Bagnaia and six-time champion Marc Marquez collided with three laps to go.
Spain’s Maverick Vinales clinched his first MotoGP win for Aprilia in Saturday’s sprint race. Vinales, clocked 19 minutes 49.636 seconds to beat compatriot Marquez to victory.
However, he crashed out when second on the final lap on Sunday after appearing to experience a mechanical issue.
Bastianini and Acosta profited from that bad luck, as Prima Pramac’s Martin – third in the first race of the season in Qatar two weeks ago – led all 25 laps to win in 41:18.138.
Italy’s 27-year-old Ducati rider Bagnaia began the defence of his MotoGP title with victory in Qatar but his race was ended prematurely in the closing stages in Portugal as he and Marquez made contact.
Marquez, in his debut season with Gresini Racing following his switch from Honda, had been attempting to move past on the inside and was able to continue to finish 16th – but Bagnaia was later forced to retire.
Race winner Martin leads the championship by 18 points from South Africa’s Brad Binder – fourth in Portugal after finishing second in Qatar – while Bastianini is third, 21 points off the top.
