Mike Browne made up for the disappointment of retiring from Monday’s Lightweight race with a dominant victory in the 2024 Classic Superbike Manx Grand Prix.

The race was due to run over two laps, but decreasing visibility over the mountain meant the chequered flag was flown after only a single tour.

Browne led from the off on corrected time on his Bike Specialist & Key Racing Ducati 916 and came under no challenge as he streaked to victory.

With visibility poor over the mountain, Browne eased off through to the finish to score victory by 13.973s from Hodson.

Sheils ran third from the off and held onto that position through to the finish on his Kawasaki, beating Craig Neve and Dominic Herbertson – both also on ZXR750s.

Ian Lougher scored victory in a shortened Lightweight Manx Grand Prix after long-time leader Michael Dunlop encountered bike issues close to the finish.

Leading by 6.3 seconds into Ramsey, another victory on the TT course in 2024 looked certain for Dunlop aboard his MD Racing Honda.

But he began to lose time across the mountain and had to coast his bike home, leaving Lougher to secure a comfortable win aboard his Laycock Racing Yamaha TZ250.

Dunlop has endured problems with both of his machines in the Lightweight and Classic Superbike classes throughout the 2024 Manx GP.

His misfortune promoted Lee Johnston up to second, with the one-time Supersport TT winner guiding his Reed Racing Honda to the podium on his return to racing after an extended injury layoff following a serious accident at the North West 200 last year.

Stuart Hall completed the podium on the Whippet Racing Yamaha, with Rhys Hardisty and Michael Evans rounding out the top five.

Daniel Ingham dominated the shortened Senior race at the 2024 Manx Grand Prix, winning on his Castings Technology Yamaha by over 30 seconds while Shaun Anderson beat John McGuinness in a tight one-lap Classic Senior race at the 2024 Manx Grand Prix, marking his first victory at the event.
