David Kelly won the 2026 Donegal Harvest Stages Rally.

The Donegal Town man finished 20s ahead of the pack along with his co-driver Shane Buckley, as they won three of the day’s nine stages on the way to victory in their Skoda Fabia RS Rally 2.

Kelly and Buckley led this rally from start to finish, but it wasn’t all plain sailing for the pair however.

They were followed closely by the crew of Kevin Eves and Chris Melly through the first two loops of the rally.

Eves entered Stage 7 just 1.6s off Kelly’s leading pace, but a crash would put him out of contention and give Kelly breathing room out front.

Fellow Donegal driver Michael Boyle finished in second overall, also piloting a Rally 2 Skoda. Shane Quinn rounded out the podium in his Ford Fiesta Rally 2, 39.7s adrift of Kelly.

Meanwhile there was further success for a Donegal driver in the modified category as Daniel McKenna won in his Ford Escort Mk2.

He and co-driver Andrew Grennan finished a remarkable seventh overall in the rally, beating out a number of crews in much more modern machinery on the way to the class win.
